Environmental site assessment
At Groupe SCP, we are experts in environmental site assessment.

Groupe SCP is a leading environmental site assessment (ESA) provider.

Our comprehensive evaluations are conducted to identify potential environmental liabilities associated with a property or site.
Typically performed prior to property transactions, development projects, or regulatory compliance, ESAs aim to assess the presence of hazardous substances, contamination, or environmental risks that may pose threats to human health or the environment.
Our environmental consulting firm specializes in providing expertise and solutions to businesses,
governments and organizations to meet environmental challenges and ensure regulatory compliance.
Furthermore, conducting ESAs demonstrates due diligence on the part of property owners or developers.
We do this by reducing the risk of unforeseen environmental liabilities and legal complications in the future. By identifying and addressing environmental concerns upfront, ESAs facilitate sustainable development, responsible land management, and the protection of natural resources for future generations.

Groupe SCP’s assessment process involves several phases:
Phase I ESA: This initial phase involves a thorough review of historical records, site inspections, and interviews to identify potential sources of contamination or environmental concerns. The goal is to determine if there is a likelihood of contamination based on past land use, neighbouring properties, and current conditions.
Phase II ESA: If potential environmental concerns are identified during Phase I, a Phase II ESA is conducted to further investigate and confirm the presence or absence of contamination. This phase often includes soil and groundwater sampling, laboratory analysis, and the use of specialized equipment to assess the extent and severity of contamination.
Phase III ESA: If contamination is confirmed, a Phase III ESA may be conducted to develop and implement remediation plans to address the contamination. This phase involves the design and implementation of cleanup measures to mitigate environmental risks and restore the site to a safe and usable condition.
Environmental site assessments are essential for various stakeholders, including property owners, buyers, lenders, and regulatory agencies, to make informed decisions about property transactions, development projects, or regulatory compliance. They help identify potential environmental liabilities, assess risks, and determine appropriate courses of action to protect human health and the environment.
Groupe SCP contributes to the preservation of natural resources, the protection of ecosystems and the promotion of a more sustainable future.
